Today’s video is about homeowners that are attempting to short sell their houses by themselves without a real estate agent. I would like to talk about this because a lot of individuals that are underwater on their houses choose this path because they think they will be able to sell their property by themselves. The problem with a homeowner trying to sell their home on their own and trying to break even is that they are not really setting the selling price at the market price. They are setting the price at an amount they think they can sell it at. At this time we’re in a buyer’s market and buyers are not really that interested in what a homeowner thinks their house is worth. They are more concerned about whether or not they’re getting a good price and a good bargain. For someone that is thinking about selling their home on their own because they need to break even, a short sale might be a great choice for them.
